How do I know tutoring will help me?
This depends on the topic that you are struggling with. In the past 8+ years, we have helped numerous students with different needs. Please check out our Facebook page / testimonials to read our students’ feedback and give us a call to discuss your issue. If we are familiar with the topic, you can make a booking. Alternatively, we may be able to refer you to some other tutoring providers who may be more proficient in that subject material.
As a student, what can I expect from my tutoring sessions?
When you make a booking, you will get a call within 12-24 hours to understand your requirements/current level of understanding. You will be asked to send in any subject material that you would like to cover in the session. The tutoring session itself is individually tailored to your respective needs and learning style so as to achieve the desired results. We start with the foundation and build on the concepts prior to reviewing specific subject material. By the end of the session, you will definitely walk away with clear concepts and confidence on the subject material covered during the session.
Where / how are tutoring sessions held?
Tutoring sessions are provided at our home studio in Beckenham, WA. The nearest public transit is Beckenham train station. If you are based in the regional areas of WA or you are interstate, we offer tutoring via skype as well.
Do you offer online tutoring?
Yes, we offer skype tutoring for those in the regional WA areas or interstate.
Is the tutoring one-to-one or with a group?
Accounting Tutor offers one-to-one learning in our home studio to best accommodate your individual needs. If you wish to come with a friend, we can accommodate a maximum group of 3 (three) students, provided it’s the same subject and all the 3 students have similar needs. We charge on per person per session basis so coming in a group is optional, but not more economical.
How many hours is 1 session? Can I book for 1 hour only?
1 session is 2 hours. Unfortunately we cannot take bookings for 1 hour only unless it is a Q&A session only after a couple of tutoring sessions. This is subject to approval – please contact us on 0411 523 193 to discuss further.
Can I call you after the session?
Once a tutoring session is concluded, you can contact us via phone, email, text, whatsapp or wechat to clarify any concept / subject material referred during the sessions only. This is offered at no extra cost on a reasonable basis, subject to availability.
How do I make a booking for tutoring?
Please click on the ‘Book An Appointment ’ button in the top right of the website.
Are you flexible with tutoring days and times?
If the desired day/time is not available, please contact us and we will try to accommodate your request.
Can you help with assignments/quiz/online tests?
For ethical reasons, we do not assist with assignments/quiz/online tests. However, we can tutor the subject material referred therein which will allow you to attempt these on your own accord.
Can you tutor in other languages besides English?
Yes, I can tutor in Bahasa Indonesia, Bahasa Malay, Hindi and Sindhi dialects. The core conversation will still remain in English.
What is the reschedule/cancellation/refund policy?
Bookings can be rescheduled subject to availability. Please give us minimum 6 hours notice if you need to reschedule your appointment. Cancellations are permitted upto 24 hours before the booking. Where cancellation requests are received on time, you will receive a refund of your payment less 5% administration fee. No refunds are provided for cancellations less than 24 hours notice.
Can I get a refund after the session is concluded or if I am do not get the desired results in my test/exam/assignment?
When the session concludes, the service has been provided. We do not take responsibility for your test/exam/assignment results as this is subject to your understanding/ performance therein. Accordingly there are no refunds provided after the session is concluded or if you are not happy with the results of your test/exam/assignment.
Can you assist on live scenarios (an issue in Xero/MYOB/Quickbooks) ?
Yes, for sure. Please give us a call to discuss your requirements. When making a booking, please select Other and specify your requirements in the message box therein.
Can you do Business Activity Statements (BAS) and tax returns?
I am not a Registered BAS / Tax Agent. However, I can provide tutoring for you to understand the BAS preparation process and the online BAS lodgement process using the ATO Business Portal. When making a booking, please select Other and specify your requirements in the message box therein.
Can you provide tax advice?
As a CPA qualified accountant and Chartered Tax Advisor, I can provide tax advice in certain areas. However I am not a Registered Tax Agent.
